Rydal Water

Rydal Water is located in the heart of the Lake District and is connected to the larger lake of Grasmere to the west by the River Rothay. Located near the hamlet of Rydal, between Grasmere and Ambleside in the it is just over 1km long and has a maximum depth of 65ft.

Close to the home of William Wordsworth, and believed to have been one of his favourite places in the Lake District, the surrounding area was described by the poet as "The most loveliest spot than man hath found"
